The Positive Birth Book.

As soon as I saw the chapter entitled "Watermelons, Bowling Balls and Tooth Extractions: more about the reality of labour" I knew this book would be different from the many other birth books out there.

Written by Milli Hill, founder of The Positive Birth Movement, Mum of 3, campaigner and columnist for Telegraph Women it aims to challenge the negativity and fear of childbirth that surrounds us.

The Positive Birth Book looks at all aspects of pregnancy and birth. Answering questions many of us wonder but don't actually ask ("Will there be lots of blood?" "Will I poo myself?"), offering real accounts and birth stories and relaying key factual information, all in the style of your straight talking, well informed best friend. I giggled, I learnt things and completely loved this brilliantly frank and informative book.
